G’zaagiin maleńki – I promise you a forest

Families • From 18 months • In the forest or in the theatre

Voyageurs Immobiles, creation company, in co-production with the Théâtre français of the National Arts Centre, with the support of the Maison Théâtre and of the City of Val-d’Or.

A joyful encounter! A director immigrated from Poland, a Franco-Anishinaabe actor, and a musician from Abitibi: three artists who came together to create an enchanting forest show. Beneath majestic trees, we are all children of the world.

Imagine a show, but in the form of a forest, a gathering of parents and children under a peaceful canopy. You are part of the set, you can sit and listen to the warm and authentic voice of Emily Marie Séguin, actor and musician. You can also let the incredible sound palette of cellist Marie-Hélène Massy Emond resonate throughout your body; it’s not just the strings of her wooden instrument that make music!

And who will play the part of water, which thaws, trickles, and feeds the forest? Behind his console, a clever sound artist uses his watery bowls and microphones to contribute to creating this forest filled with sounds, textures, and flavours to be enjoyed with all the senses and at any age.

The Voyageurs Immobiles team promises you a forest, but not just any forest: one in which you can participate, which is born from the meeting of a drum, a cello, and melting ice, and which will leave you feeling a little happier and more alive!

This show is available in outdoor and indoor versions.

“In this way, situated at the centre of the set, like the heart of this story, the children wait, on the lookout for all the sounds, colours, and movements of the three artists who surround them.” Marie Fradette, Le Devoir.
